来自 IDC 的数据显示， 2003 年中国大陆 BI 市场软件授权费用总量为 2300 万美元， 2004 年预估将达 3000 万美元，增幅达 30% 。 IDC 预测，从现在到 2005 年，全球市场将以 27 ％的年平均增长率发展，届时将会达到 118 亿美元。由此可见， BI 市场的潜力巨大，需求旺盛，引得众多 BI 软件厂商和企业管理软件厂商争相涌入，市场争夺的序幕已然拉开。

为了进一步促进商务智能技术的应用与推广，促进商务智能市场的健康发展，完善商务智能标准化建立，由中国信息化推进联盟主办的“中国首届商务智能大会”将于 7 月在北京隆重召开。

本届大会将以企业应用为主导，汇集业内知名企业、专家等共同围绕具有前瞻性的理念、优秀的应用成果等进行全范围的探讨与展示。

Along with the rapid development of information technologies and their wide application in business activities of enterprises, how to integrate information resources more effectively to improve operation achievements of enterprises, and how to make use of business intelligence tools to help strategic and tactical decisions and to fully promote competitive capabilities of enterprise, have become common issues that enterprise operators care about.

Business Intelligence (BI) software has led into a new informationalized revolution, which injected new energy into operation management of enterprises. Meanwhile, BI itself has become a most powerful comprehensive tool for data discovery, information analysis and management, assistant decision and data management, etc.

Enterprise users hope to discover their data assets from their enterprise resource planning (ERP), client relation management (CRM), supply chain management (SCM) and available systems. As a result, demands for BI software are increasing continuously. All these demands mean that enterprises are getting rid of being solely dependent on software to deal with daily issues gradually. Instead, they will obviously employ software to help themselves in making better and faster decisions based on enterprise data.

Figures from IDC show that license fee in BI software market of mainland China was 23 million dollars in 2003, and will climb to 30 million dollars in 2004, increasing 30%. IDC estimated that from now to 2005 global market would increase by 27% annually to 11.8 billion dollars. From all these we can see that with its great potential and strong demands the BI market has seen large number of BI and enterprise management software developers and enterprises entering with emerging furious competitions.

In order to further promote the application and population of BI technologies, push forward healthy development of BI market and perfect establishment of BI standardization, the First China International Business Intelligence Conference will be held by the Informationalization Promotion Coalition of China in July in Beijing .

This conference will focus on enterprise application, calling for famous enterprises and experts within the industry to conduct all-around discussions and displays jointly centering farseeing ideas and excellent application achievements.
